ResumeInk ("ResumeInk", "we", "us") operates resumeink.app, a service that converts an uploaded resume into a professionally designed, downloadable PDF. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using ResumeInk you agree to this policy.
Account data. When you sign in we collect your mobile phone number, verified by one-time SMS code through Google Firebase Authentication. We do not collect a password.
Resume content. The document you upload (PDF, Word, or image) and everything in it — typically your name, contact details, work history, education, skills, and optionally a photograph — plus every edit you make in the editor. This is the core data the service exists to process, and it can include sensitive personal information; please upload only what you are comfortable including in your resume.
Payment data. Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, or banking credentials. We store only the order ID, payment ID, amount, and which resume the payment unlocks.
Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps, requested pages) used for security and debugging, retained for a limited period.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your resume content for advertising.
To convert your upload into an editable draft, the pages of your document are sent to OpenAI (our AI processing provider), which extracts and restructures the text. Under OpenAI's API terms, content submitted through the API is not used to train their models. AI extraction can make mistakes — you can review and correct everything in the editor before downloading.

Each provider processes data under its own terms and only to provide its service to us. Because some providers are located outside India and the EU, your data may be transferred internationally with appropriate safeguards.

Data is transmitted over HTTPS, stored on access-controlled servers, payment credentials never touch our systems, and download access is verified server-side. No internet service can promise absolute security, but we follow industry-standard practices and limit access to personal data.
ResumeInk is a career tool intended for users of working age. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version; material changes will be announced on the site.
